| If you are interested in building your own house you can finance the project in stages-this is called "staged payments". You may be able to fund the purchase of the site also. Most lenders fund self-build in four stages-wall plate/roof/internal fit and final finish-they would forward 25% of the total cost at each stage subject to survey and legal requirements being met. Some lenders will fund over 3 stages-foundation/roof and final finish with 33% being funded at each stage. |
